Larry J Woodfin 57 of Tulsa passed away Monday April 14, 2003 in Tulsa. He was born August 5, 1945 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jessie and Nora Woodfin. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1963. This giving, loving and devoted father, brother and friend is survived by his brother, Thomas and wife, Yvonne of Florence, SC. sister, Pamela Woodfin-Butefish of Tulsa, daughter, Nicole Isham and husband, Chad, grandson, Will James Isham all of Aledo, Tx. son, Kelly Mahaffey and wife, Ginger of Tulsa, along with several close friends. He retired from Atlas Cycle and Sales and was previously employed by Memorex-Telex. He was a kind, generous and big-hearted man that will be missed.
William "Bill" Lambley age 54 passed away Monday, August 30, 1999. Born to Eugene H. and Marilyn N. (Crawford) Lambley on August 7, 1945 in Avon Park, Fl. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. President and founder of Alternative Labor Resource Inc. of Tulsa. Preceded in death by his daughter, Cherie Leann Lambley. Survived by, his parents, his wife, Patricia (Patty) Holderman-Lambley of the home, and 1 son, Rand Michael Lambley of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Karen Bower Duncan, passed away June 29, 2002. Born July 14, 1945, Hopewell, Va. She leaves her beloved granddaughter, Olivia Karen Brock, her daughter, Jane Ann Brock and son-in-law, James Brock, her siblings, Thomas Bower, Brent Bower, Jane Waters, her dearest friends, Mary Lou Evans and Billie McLearan. Preceded in death by, her parents, Frank and Mary Bower, her daughter, Heather Duncan. Karen was a member of Asbury Methodist Church. She loved her Lord Jesus Christ. Her great sense of humor came out in any situation. She inspired those she knew and held a sincere compassion for others. She had worked as an Executive and Legal Secretary for The Dorchester Co., Parker Drilling Co., Dorchester, Stuart, Saunders, Daniel & Anderson. She volunteered for Literacy & Evangelism, Destination Discovery, Animal Aid, Friends of Felines, American Diabetes Association, and The Mended Hearts. She was devoted Mother, Mamaw, and friend.
Johnny R Uhles, a retired Tulsa police officer and private investigator, died Saturday. He was 57. A memorial service will be held at 10a.m. Thursday at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow. Uhles was born July 14, 1945 in Tulsa to Mary Bobbye and John Uhles. After graduating from Will Rogers High School in 1963, Uhles the Tulsa Police Training Academy, Tulsa Junior College and FBI training schools and served in the Army National Guard. He was a Cleet-certified instructor and taught a number of law enforcement classes, and he was a National Forensic Center distinguished expert. Uhles retired in 1996 from the Tulsa Police Department, where he had worked in the Homicide, Identification and Patrol divisions. Following his retirement, he worked as a private investigator for Jarvis International Intelligence Inc. and later operated a detective agency, Investigative Specialists. Uhles also was the chief investigator for Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Terry Nichols defense team. Uhles was a member of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 93, the Retired Police Officers Association and the Tulsa Club. He also was the charter president and a founder of the Police Sertoma Club. In 1978 he received the Optimist Club's Law Enforcement Award. Uhles is surviied by his wife, Sadye Uhles, a son, Darren Uhles of Sperry, a daughter, Angela Rochell of Duncan, a sister, Jeannette Carter of Tulsa and three grandsons.
Stephen Highfield Beattie, was born February 12, 1945 in Tulsa, Okla. He died June 21, 1998 following a lengthy illness. The second son born to Thelma and Laurence Beattie, he was preceded in death by his mother. Stephen is survived by, his father and brother, James, both of Tulsa, sister, Anna-Faye Rose of Oklahoma City, numerous cousins particularly Karen Hamby of Sapulpa, Deborah and Joshua McClelland of Westford, Ar, and many special friends. As a youth, Stephen was active in Boy Scouts serving as an Assistant Scout Master during high school. He was also an avid aviation buff who recently attained an air frame and powerplant rating from the FAA and chose to live near airports and collect trade magazines. A 1963 graduate of Will Rogers High School, Stephen served in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 though 1967. Trained in computer and aviation maintenance, he most recently worked for Shell Oil Company where he remained through numerous corporate restructurings until illness prompted his retirement from First Data Resources. He was also proud to achieve the status of Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. In 1979 and 1981 Stephen was honored for his service as an apheresis donor for the American Red Cross. Stephen will most be remembered by friends and family for his willingness to help when needed and to be a booster fan for their endeavors.
Peggy J, (Emmons) O'Neil,53 of Princeton, NJ, died October 17,1998 at home. Born in Tulsa, Okla she lived in San Francisco and Washington,D.C. for many years before moving to Princeton 9 years ago. She received a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Iowa in 1966 and a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland in 1972,. She served in the U.S. Peace Corps from 1966 to 1969 as a volunteer teacher in the Phillippines and as a campus recruiter in Atlanta. She was a Senior Program Analyst for the Indo-Chinese Refugee Resettlement Program with the Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C. from 1976 to 1981. Later she was a family Therapist/Case Manager with Somerset Home for Temporarily Displaced Children and served as a Home Care Social Worker with The Medical Center at Princeton since 1992. Daughter of the late W. Reece Emmons, she is survived by, her husband, Patrick J. O'Neil. 3 sons, Claude Soffel of Sag Harbor, NY, Gregory O'Neil of Salt Lake City, UT, and Glenn O'Neil of College park MD, 3 daughter, April Elizabeth Soffel of the home, Deborah and Denise Soffel, both of New York City, her mother, Gladys Emmons of Tulsa, Okla, a brother, Ronald Emmons of Tulsa, Okla and 6 step-grandchildren.

dennisrogers Dennis Rogers, age 59 of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2004 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was a member of Knoxville Christian Center, and a physician's assistant for 28 years. Dennis was a Godly man. His purpose in life was to show the Love of Christ in everything he did. Preceded in death by: parents, Eldridge and Maureen Rogers. Survivors include: spouse, Tommie Lou Rogers, son, Dewayne Allen Rogers of Indiana, daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie Schittone and husband Joe of Colorado, Jennifer Timm and husband Ken of Colorado, grandchildren Anastasia and Evan Schittone of Colorado, his golden retriever Allie, his six cats, Funny Face, Porsche, K.C., Taz, Angel and Crickett, sister and brother-in-law Virginia and Richard Trapp of Leesburg, VA.
